MEET OUR AUTUMN/WINTER TRENDS

'Vogue on the Catwalk's Vogue's view makes me super excited for my favourite season. I do not feel depressed whatsoever at the soon to come wintery months. The opening line: "This season's girl dazzles and her clothing reflects her fun-loving spirit" and "she demands personality from her wardrobe and dresses to be noticed" spark a few thought...
1) Does this mean I can not care so much about whether some bright coloured clothing is too summery for the colder seasons
2) Maybe other people will not shy away as much in the winter months. We can still attempt to be fashionable people.
I absolutely adore layering, particularly in Autumn. However, I am looking forward to seeing this "nipped-in silhouette' and the waist coming back on show, bringing femininity to the season.
Vogue's View closes with "come autumn, there will be something for everyone". Yes. Finally.

So, the trends are as follows:

1. Electro Luxe - Sweet, girly dresses are toughened up with metallics and embellished with a whole lot of sequins. Note: The shimmerier, the better.

2. Suit Reboot - Recalibration of the iconic two piece is on the cards for AW15. Opting for bold colours offset with soft and fluid tailoring relaxes the look.

3. 21st Century Opulence - This is one for the Christmas/New Year celebrations. Jacquards and brocades are ever more shiny but different prints keep it modern and somewhat punky.

4. Dream coats - When winter comes, clothe yourself in a sumptuous, creamy-coloured coat. This is where we can forget about functionality and just stay cosy.

5. A Twist on Tradition - Heritage prints like checks and gingham, even the recently loved then despised dogtooth, are modernised by bolder colours and by being shaped differently than before.

6. Pink Power - You gotta love a whole lot of pink. Twisted to suit this season, the pretty hue is used more often than not in tailored pieces.

7. Return of the Waist - The waist is back 'on trend' if you can say that of a body part... We get to see the natural and beautiful female form displayed in AW15 with the help of thick waistbands, big bows and cinch-you-in belts.

8. Monochrome - Complexity meets simplicity next season as we get a fresh lesson in geometry.

9. Ripping Yarns - Knitwear's finest: the poloneck or, as some call it: the turtleneck, is sculpted, stretched and shrunk. While, our usual jumpers are bedazzled and cardigans blossom into poncho-like wraps.

10. Great lengths - We're going deeper instead of higher in AW15, learning to indulge in swaths of knee-length fabrics.

11. Eighties Remix - A powerful, bold trend is put on the decks and spun to a new level. Aim for more glamour than party power.
