RIVIERA

The Cote d’Azur is perhaps the most alluring part of the French country. The Mediterranean coastline also includes Monaco (my boyfriend’s favourite place…good man), Nice, Marseille and St Tropez. In French a few years ago, I remember looking at the most beautiful hotel in Antibes, Cote d’Azur called ‘Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc’. As far I as know it is the same hotel that Tom Cruise mentions to Cameron Diaz in ‘Knight and Day’.

Imagine walking along the promenades, taking in the scenery and fresh air. But of course, you have to be wearing something perfect. So, here are my choices for what to wear in the French Riviera.

When it comes to summer dressing, I am always overwhelmed by the over the top use of stripes, polka dots and blue and white. It just gets too much. Oh, and red. You know the stereotypical French woman wearing blue and white breton stripes with a red neckerchief. No. REAL, ACTUALLY ALIVE French women do not dress like this. So, to avoid looking like a Frenchman, opt for an all-white outfit with perhaps the odd hint of blue or red. Pink also works well this seasons, the dustier the better.
