Tonight models wowed on the Versace couture catwalk.

Dressed in chiffon and other luscious fabrics, the girls floated along the straight path like butterflies in summertime. Pieces were structured yet soft because of the tailoring. And, the pastel palette for the pieces kept the feeling of ethereal, effortless dressing.

@versace_official on Instagram captioned one photo from the show as "Elevated deconstruction"; I love how that sounds, even more so when you learn that the looks were toughened up with platforms, offsetting the softness of the dresses. Some of the pieces even looked like said "deconstruction", with their different layers and cut out structures.

I have never really thought of Versace as one of the big fashion houses, although of course it is. I will be taking much more note of it in the near future.
