CHANEL Haute Couture AW14/15

Wow, just wow.

I have never witnessed such a magical, truly beautiful show. Karl Lagerfeld is the one designer that really gets it right for women of every body shape.

Elongated silhouettes were created, averaged sized models' frames hidden under big, structured dresses of a range of colours and fabrics. Embellishment was all over every piece, following the tailored lines of Chanel jackets, and covering flouncy skirts.
Everything not floor length was to the knee, a new style that needs to be passed on. Tennis shorts were worn underneath each piece, and a small hat had been pinned into each model's hair, the colour linking to their outfit.
I was even more stunned when I discovered that Karl had used concrete as a form of embellishment. What a wonderful way to incorporate unexpected materials into a Haute Couture show, definitely not expected by anyone.
