If you know me closely, then you will know I spent a lot of time in the computer suite in my last year of sixth form; not just "studying" for my subjects and EPQ; but endlessly searching for beautiful, 'out of this world' clothes. I blame Coco Chanel.

It becomes really hard to rank my favourite designer shops, particularly when I don't actually shop there - I simply just look around for inspiration. Yet, it's my favourite thing to do. Selfridges in Manchester is like a little piece of fashion heaven, and every time I venture there, I fall more and more in love (especially with those Kenzo pieces that just get lovelier and lovelier).

I remember watching the Fall/Winter collections for 2015/16 back around February time and completely lusting for all the clothes. The three designer house's campaigns that I loved most are: Prada, Gucci and Dior. They have all taken a great trend: preppy, and make it even more wearable.

PRADA

If you have not seen nor watched Prada's FW campaign, then I suggest you do. It fills me with excitement for starting university; wearing pinafores, and it being perfectly okay to look "studenty" (as my mum would say). I absolutely love the layering looks shown in the video; coats over pinafore dresses, over jumpers, over shirts. The mix of colours means we don't have to look drab either this winter. I want even more print in my wardrobe after this too; I don't know if I even own any dogtooth print; but these Prada coats are something to dream of. Having the added structure to the body is going to work well, but it's relaxed enough to suit any shape. Thank you Prada, thank you.

GUCCI

Maybe it's my lack of designer experience, but never have I ever been so taken with Gucci. It's probably because I grew up knowing that it's usually "those" handbags that are faked - we all own or have owned at least one fake one, hands up in the air. Anyway, Gucci's AW Ready To Wear collection is to die for. It's such an eclectic mix and a move away from couture fashion; yet, still so couture looking!

DIOR

And, finally for perhaps the wildest powerhouse this season. Artistic Director of Christian Dior, Raf Simons, went all primal for Dior's Autumn/Winter 2015-16 Collection. And, I've got to say, I love it. I wouldn't choose to walk around in real fur, I'm not even quite sure if this is or not; however, the colours just make me feel, again, like Autumn Winter do not need to be depressing.

DESIGNERS GO BACK TO SCHOOL
