Chanel Haute Couture SS15

Imagine a world from the eyes of Karl Lagerfeld.

A garden so beautiful, yet all made from paper, was the scene he set for his Spring/Summer 2015 Haute Couture show. Mechanically blooming after a male model dressed as a gardener 'watered' the plants, the colours of the flowers foreshadowed the collection to come. And what a beautiful one it was.

There is just something about Chanel's contemporary Haute Couture shows that scream "SHE STILL REIGNS", she being Coco Chanel herself. Lagerfeld is a genius at recreating the fashions of Chanel.

The collection consists of many a version of the infamous tweed jacket.

Below are my favourite looks from the collection (all courtesy of the Chanel website).

Blue Monday

Pinterest emailed me this evening saying "today is said to be blue Monday" and then went on to send me lots of cute pictures of animals.

I thought I would take the opportunity to look at some of my favourite blue things; styles, items, artwork, photographs. No matter the season, the colour blue works. Pastel and sky blues in summer, cobalt and navy in winter. Blue is timeless in art too, providing depth and a calmness no other colour quite brings.
